- Daily name recognition and name writing (4 – 6 per month)
- Daily story time
- Field trips (seasonal and preplanned)
- Fine motor skills
- Pencil grip, coloring, pasting, cutting, tracing and writing, tabletop manipulatives (legos, puzzles, blocks, etc.)
- Gross/Large motor skills
- Outdoor play in gated playground, courtyard as well as indoor games (i.e. duck, duck, goose, etc.)
- Matching (identification) skills
- Monthly review of color, shape, number and letter
- Music and Drama
- Seasonal songs for holiday programs
- End of year production (Nursery Rhymes)
- Number & letter recognition on mailed name (placing into correct bins)
- Number crafts to reinforce number recognition and counting skills (2 or 3 days a week)
- One-on-one Review Day Evaluation
- Pencil grip practice
- Practice letter sounds, word sounds with pictures of objects starting with letter
- Practicing pattern identification skills
- Preliminary evaluation and meeting with parent(s)
- Discuss social skill, ability to follow directions, early academic ability
- Mid-March
- Pre-reading and writing skills to learn letters, numbers, shapes and colors including their name
- One color, shape, number and letter four times a month
- Review of color, shape, number and letters during group instruction time (4 – 6 times a month)
- Simple math skills revolving around addition and subtraction
- Socialization skills among peers
- Sorting skills
- Weather, dates and calendar (month and days of the week)
